Games and contests - The official asterix.com website - The Grand Collection

The Asterix Grand Collection is an enduring success on Asterix official website. Indeed, Asterix fans are taking part in our contests in ever-increasing numbers, hoping to win the comic strip books published in this now famous Asterix collection. This time, it was about winning the French edition of Asterix and the Roman Agent. And the winners are…
The five lucky winners are Cathy DARDEAU, Paul VAUCHER, Céline DEBAENE, Noël CHAUMORCEL and Vincent BECQ. Gaulish gods truly were on their side! They probably noticed true Asterix specialists, with great knowledge of the Asterix and the Roman Agent adventure.
So you like the Asterix Grand Collection, and you want to try your luck? It’s now or never: today is the last day to take part in our Asterix Quiz July Session. Another great prize is to be won by Asterix experts: the French original version of Asterix the Gladiator in its Grand Collection edition. Good luck!

The Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable: beginning of the quarter finals

The official asterix.com website

Great Gaulish warriors from the old days look like they’re ready for another Gergovia! Three veterans demonstrated their great form during breathtaking games, and qualified for the quarter finals of the 2007 edition of the Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable.
Astronomix, famous for being the father of Asterix, Geriatrix, and Getafix, whose wisdom defeated the reckless youth of Justforkix, have all made it through to the next round. A quick look at the list of winners of the fourth round proves that experience is the master trump for a success in the Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable: Asterix, Obelix, Dogmatix, Vitalstatistix and Panacea are all accustomed to the last rounds of this great competition. And veterans still have high hopes for what’s to come: the game between Geriatrix and Astronomix guarantees us the presence of an old Asterix fellow in the semi-finals!
As for Anticlimax, known specialist of the green grass circuses of the Tournament, who was hoping to reach the finals, he was defeated by an impressive Obelix. Let’s just hope that the traditional “shake hands” sequence at the end of the game won’t let Asterix’s cousin too shaken by the strength of Obelix! Get voting!

Asterix is back in Turkish and Polish

The Translation Exchange - Edition - The official asterix.com website

There’s certainly no let up in the production of Asterix albums at the moment.
Three new titles have been added to our Translation Exchange and Bravura’s bookshop: the brand new translation of Asterix and the Actress into Turkish, as well as two reissues of Asterix and the Secret Weapon in Polish.
Why is one title counted twice, I hear you ask? Quite simply because Asterix albums are published in Poland in both hardback and paperback form – which of course makes life doubly difficult for our IT druids who are responsible for updating the Translation Exchange by listing and classifying all the different Asterix album publications!

The Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable: beginning of the 4th round

The official asterix.com website

It was raining again and again on the Londinium courts of Wimbledon, but great games never stopped being played on the green grass of the Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable.
A quick look at the winners of the 3rd round of the 2007 Edition of the Asterix’s Tournament of the Indomitable leaves no doubt about the superiority of the inhabitants of the Asterix Village when it goes to show their sporting talents: Asterix, Cacofonix, Vitalstatistix, Fulliautomatix, Dogmatix, Geriatrix, Getafix and Obelix all made it through to the next round!
Now it’s anyone’s guess as to who will qualify for the semi-finals in the third part of the draw: Astronomix, Boneywasawarriorwayayix, Metallurgix or Geriatrix? Anyway, a surprising semi-finalist for this 2007 Edition! Get voting!

Asterix and the Class Act in Brazilian

Edition - The official asterix.com website - The Translation Exchange

Whilst our young Gauls are ready to spend their summer at the beach, the Brazilians are thumbing their noses at the calendar with their publication of Asterix and the Class Act.
As always, we fans of the international editions of Asterix’s adventures will mark the addition of another album to the Asterix Translation Exchange.
And as this is already the 28th different publication of this album, it calls for a visit to our World of Asterix Tour – a sort of Gaulish Google Earth that we have created (with some help from our druids’ magic potion!) in which Asterix and the Class Act now holds an increasingly important place!
