Asterix May Quiz: the results

Games and contests - The official asterix.com website

Veni, vidi, vici! Five indomitable Gauls called on their Latin to triumph in our Asterix May Quiz. They each win a copy of Asterix and the Falling Sky in the language of Caesar.
They are: Marie DENIS, Anne MOURGUE, Sébastien VAN GORP, Jonas SABLE and Robert FLEURY.
The answers to this fearsome quiz, as validated in person by the very authors of the Roman leader’s speeches: Pegleg, Panem and Circenses – Veni, vidi, vici - Gnôthi seauton – Exlibris.
It certainly wasn’t easy, but you can brush up your skills this month with a new Asterix Quiz, and, right after Asterix in Latin, a new Asterix album to win - this time it’s the Asterix Grand Collection version of Asterix and the Secret Weapon.
Good luck!

The Tournament of the Indomitable: 3rd round

The official asterix.com website

A major event in the Gaulish sporting season, the Tournament of the Indomitable is absolutely unique!
Just think about it: if you want to win the Asterix Tournament of the Indomitable, you not only need to have a nice touch, but you have to prove that you’re able to win on any surfaces.
As a matter of fact, after two rounds playing on Lutecian clay, the 3rd round of this 2007 Edition now begins on Britons’ grass courts.
It’s no surprise then, that great players have already been defeated. Look at Beefix, from Belgium: top-seed n°4, he looked as if he was invincible. Well… That was before he encountered Toon, the shrinking violet from far away Tadsilweny, who seems to have a lot of fun with Gaulish customs.
A bad day for our Belgian friends, to be sure, as Brawnix was defeated by Postaldistrix. There as been no such bad surprises for our heroes’ families: Asterix, Obelix, Astronomix, Obeliscoidix and Sarsaparilla have all made it through to the next round! Just like Chanticleerix, now doing his best against Edifis, in what promises to be a thrilling game. Get voting!
And to learn everything about almost all characters still in the game, check out our EncyclObelix, the encyclopaedia of Asterix characters.

Asterix e-cards for Father’s Day

The official asterix.com website

After Mother’s Day has been celebrated in true style in the Gaulish village, it’s the turn of fathers everywhere to benefit from Justforkix’s boundless imagination.
Four more e-cards from the spirited young Lutetian are ready for you at this address to wish every father in the Known World a happy Father’s Day, Gaulish style.
My personal favourites are Pepe’s message to his father, and the one where Obelix is bottle-feeding baby Caesarion. Zigackly!

The Tournament of the Indomitable: beginning of the 2nd round

The official asterix.com website

Cockadoodle do! What a surprise! Chanticleerix, the Gaulish cockerel, has defeated Julius Caesar himself during the first round of the 2007 Tournament of the Indomitable.
As a matter of fact, it was not an easy round for the Romans… For instance, Postaldistrix didn’t give Tournament top-seed Caligula Minus any chance to beat him. Altogether, 4 top-seeds were not able to make their way through to the next round: Caesar and Caligula Minus, but also Winesanspirix and Dubbelosix. Now this Tournament seems to be more open than ever!
Let’s have a look at what’s offering the 2nd round: Zaza vs Pepe, in an interesting teenage duel, and Chipolata vs Panacea, for what’s promising to be a charming game. And, of course, we’ll have a close look at Chanticleerix, now playing against the Iberian Huevos y Bacon. Get voting! !
